This is my submission for my final project here at Full Sail University! We were told to pick a category of music, either independent, film, video game, library, EDM or cover song. My original choice was video game music but unfortunately I wasn't able to reach out to the video game teams here at Full Sail, so I was told to pick either film or library music and make it sound like video game music. I ended up picking library music, and made two, 2 minute long video game sounding songs!

Track Name: A Day in the Sunshine

Composition Credit: Dylan Wilson

Track Length: 2 Minutes and 2 Seconds

When I started making this piece, I went in knowing I wanted to make it chiptune as I love that style of video game music! For this piece, I wanted it to feel happy and bright. I was wanting to make it sound like you were playing Super Mario Bros. and the level was bright and sunny and just fun feeling! I was very happy with what I made as it is exactly what I was going for! If I did have to change something about it, I think I would have added one more synth so I could have another layer to the chords or ambience.

Track Name: Reflections of Moonlight

Composition Credit: Dylan Wilson

Track Length: 2 Minutes and 3 Seconds

When I was thinking about what I wanted to do this piece, I knew I wanted it to be chiptune just like the previous song but I knew I wanted to make it feel different. I ended up making a slower, more emotional feeling piece so it would be the opposite of the first song. I immediately had The Legend of Zelda pop into my had and I wanted my song to sound like it could be in a TLoZ cutscene where something sad or almost peaceful is happening. I am very happy with how this piece came out, it is exactly how I wanted it to come out! If i could change one thing, I think I would add some glass bubble sounds to it! It's that sound that sounds like bubbles slowly panning between each ear and is very calming. I think that would have been a nice addition.
